we had originally bought the Status Series 600 Stages Convertible Crib, but it was worse than worthless. we returned it and paid the extra $100 for this model, and we couldn't be happier! this crib is heavy, sturdy, easy to put together and benefits from superb craftsmanship, design and finish. the wood is strong and solid, the paint is smooth and even - everything is first-class. it's made in brazil (not china) and the difference in quality between this and the Status Series 600 is night and day. you get what you pay for, but this crib actually exceeded out expectations. it seems much nicer than its price would indicate. this was one of the best investments we made for our son. i have no doubt whatsoever that it will easily last many,...
